The City of London has a long history of tea, from early coffee houses selling the beverage, to tea shops, auction houses, and warehouses scattered from the riverbank inland for miles. We encourage visitors to take a walk around London to learn about this long history and what impacts it has had on cultures locally and globally over the past 400+ years.

As part of the Tea History Association’s mission we have installed two plaques in the city at Sir Lyon’s House and St. Katherine’s Dock with more planned for the future. If you are interested in sponsoring a plaque please see our page here.

For guided ‘Tea & Coffee Walking Tours’ please visit London Tea Walk, run by The Culture Concierge.

Tea History Association issued self-guided interactive walking tea tour map is forthcoming.
